Prior to use, ensure proper mixing and dissolution of raw water and air upstream of the filter, allowing sufficient reaction time.
During initial operation, some time is required to activate the surface coating of the filter media.
Note that removal may be difficult when dissolved silica is high due to iron colloidation.
When free carbon dioxide is abundant in the raw water, release the carbon dioxide gas into the air through aeration before use
