Tohnichi R-CM Torque Verification Equipment
Made in Japan
Manufacturer: Tohnichi
Model: R-CM
Three different wireless modules can be used, and you can switch them on your own. They can be used on a number of different wireless devices, reducing cost.
Example of R-CM usage
Application
- Wireless Pokayoke (error proofing) torque wrench signal reception to prevent missed tightening
- Wireless Pokayoke (error proofing) torque screwdriver signal reception to prevent missed tightening
- Click type wireless data transfer torque wrenches FD/FDD and FDD-AD data reception
Features
- You can change wireless modules for the R-CM receiver on your own. Three different R-CM wireless modules are available: one for FHM/FH, one for FD/FDD (FDD-AD), and one for BL. Because you can change modules on your own, you don’t need to purchase a separate receiver, reducing your upgrade costs. For example, you can upgrade at minimum cost from the FHM/FH series, which transmits tightened-to-completion signals, to a receiver for the FD/FDD series, which transmits tightening torque value data.
- Wireless modules M-FH and M-FD feature a diversity antenna for expanded communication performance.
- Communication setup can be easily performed wirelessly. Using the setting controller SB-FH2 and setting software, R-CM communication settings can be easily performed wirelessly. * Excluding BL. A torque wrench equipped with a transmitter can be set wirelessly by operating the keys on the R-CM. * The setting software can be downloaded for free from the link shown below.
- The R-CM receiver can, even without the CNA-4mk3, control the number of tightening operations of one torque wrench or torque screwdriver. (Easy Pokayoke [error proofing] counter function)
- Expandability is improved. For FHM/FH, when contact box IO-CM (sold separately) is connected, contact output is doubled from 4 points to 8 points, and input is doubled from 2 points to 4 points. In addition, connecting the high volume buzzer BZ-CM (sold separately) will increase volume from 75dB to 95dB. The large LED display on the BZ-CM makes it easy to recognize judgment results even from a distance. Connect the CNA-4mk3 Pokayoke Counter (“Poka Patrol,” sold separately) to easily build a Pokayoke (error proofing) system.
- Traceability is connected. Torque wrenches can be identified with a 7-digit alphanumeric character ID or 3-digit ID, so the torque wrench used for tightening can be specified. This permits traceability. * ID data is output from the RS-232C of the R-CM.
- Even if you have already built a Pokayoke (error proofing) system using the R-FH256 receiver, you can continue to use it by changing the R-CM communication mode to the older communication mode. This reduces the need to purchase devices when upgrading to a new receiver. * Radio communication distance is approx. 10 to 20 meters. No battery voltage monitoring function. You can switch wirelessly between new and old communication modes by operating the keys on the R-CM or by using the SB-FH2 setting controller.
- The following devices use the old communication mode: T-FH256MC, T-FHSLS, T-FHP, and RTDFH/RNTDFH.
- When you order, we can make your required modifications for R-FHSET-EN-AC with Ethernet output. (Your current R-CM can be connected to TPC/TC2 for Ethernet output.)

Specifications
Notes:
- The R-CM receiver (when equipped with wireless module M-FH/M-FD) conforms to wireless technical standards in Japan (TELEC), the U.S. (FCC), Canada (IC), the EU (CE), South Korea (KC), Thailand (NTC), India (WPC), Indonesia (SDPPI), Taiwan (NCC), and Singapore (IMDA). (Information valid as of July 2021.) However, certain restrictions apply regarding export procedures to Indonesia (SDPPI), so please check with Tohnichi for more information. Can also be used in China.
- The R-CM receiver (when equipped with wireless module M-FH) conforms to wireless technical standards in Brazil (ANATEL) and South Africa (ICASA). (Information valid as of July 2021.)
- Effective distance between transmitter and receiver depends on the radio wave environment. In some cases it may be shorter.
- If you intend to use AC 100 ~ 240V, you will need an AC adaptor (BA-8R, sold separately).
- One receiver (R-CM equipped with M-FH) can handle up to four torque wrenches. However, simultaneous transmission is not supported.
- The following devices use the old communication mode: T-FH256MC, T-FHSLS, T-FHP, RTDFH/RNTDFH, FD/FDD, BL, T-FH, and FD/FDD-AD.
- The following devices use the new communication mode: CSPFHW and T-FHM.
* For the CSPFHW, T-FHM, or T-FH, use the SB-FH2 setting controller to switch between old and new communication modes.
- One R-CM receiver can communicate with a maximum of four torque devices, but it does not function with a mixture of new and old communication modes.
